The American Teleservices Association has announced the launch of a new auditor certification training program for their self-regulatory organization. Training dates have been set for September 2008 and January 2009.
The first course is slated to take place September 10-12, 2008 at the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing through the University of Akron in Ohio.
The ATA Self-Regulatory Organization (ATASRO) has developed and adopted a set of industry standards that are meant to address consumer needs, while also seeking to minimize the need for legislation by proactively setting ethical and professional guidelines within Teleservices.
Through an extensive three day training course, this program delivers an in-depth review of the ATA-SRO standards, the audit process, and the accreditation process for contact centers.
“Offering this certification program for auditors is a very important step in building the strength of our industry’s self-regulatory organization,” stated ATA CEO, Tim Searcy, in a Friday statement.
“Though this training, the ATA will enable individuals to assist contact centers in maintaining compliant operations and help drive the direction of the SRO. We have received strong interest in enrollment in this innovative program and look forward to working with many skilled individuals who wish to become certified auditors,” Searcy added.
Once participants successfully complete the auditor training, they will have an extensive understanding of the applicability of the ATA standards to contact center business practices. They will be able to identify potentially unclear areas regarding regulation and auditing and explore current statutes and regulations.
In addition, a certified auditor will also be prepared to anticipate relevant enforcement actions and related outcomes. The ATA program is designed with a comprehensive curriculum that is based on standardized auditing methodologies and procedures.
Those interested in the SRO Auditor Certification training should expect to see the course offered several times each year. Those seeking the services of an auditor can search for and select an ATA-SRO certified auditor through its online tools.
The ATA is the only non-profit trade organization that is dedicated exclusively to the advancement of companies that utilize contact centers as an integral channel of operations. Members include companies with inbound or outbound contact centers, users of Teleservices, trainers, consultants, and equipment suppliers who initiate, facilitate, and generate telephone, Internet, and e-mail sales, service, and support.
This new auditor certification program will enable members of the ATA to better promote compliance within their contact centers. As a result, they will be able to drive down costs, improve efficiency and advance productivity.
The contact center is an important piece of the corporate engine, helping to drive customer loyalty and sales. By investing in processes that improve operations, the company is investing in the advancement of its strategies.
