DO2 Technologies announced today that it’s added an on-demand Supplier Self-Registration capability to its “OpenInvoice Platform” to reduce the cost of managing and on-ramping suppliers.

 

The technology also provides a collaborative method for tracking and controlling this function, company officials say.

 

Doug Spackman, EVP Development at DO2, said that this new capability materially improves existing processes and is simply another step in the drive to complete automation and efficiency. He said that OpenInvoice is a true multi-tenant SaaS (News - Alert) application, so further improvements in automation drive value to all 9,000 plus companies who use their service.

 

According to DO2, supplier on-ramping has always been one of the more costly components involved in adopting electronic invoicing. DO2’s delivery of its new Supplier Self-Registration capability has, however, made it a thing of past, company officials say. For successful supplier registration, a careful coordination of on-demand ease of use and supplier network quality assurance is required, company officials say. This is done to ensure that registered suppliers’ data and content are verified and mapped to the transactional platform before going “live” for production invoice transactions, company officials say.

 

The company also says that supplier Self-Registration coordinates the work of buyer, supplier and DO2’s Service Deliver Group. In addition, it also automates the complete process from buyer designation of identified suppliers to onramp, supplier contact, supplier registration, Service Delivery verification, data review and mapping, quality assurance and go-live. During the automation process, each party can follow each step online, reducing phone-calls and emails to track progress and status.
