The Apple (News - Alert) iPhone has garnered significant hype and adoption since its launch in 2007. Techies around the world have flocked to the device due to its stunning display, sleek design and multi-touch user interface. As the first of its kind with such advanced technologies, the iPhone (News - Alert) has seen rapid integration with applications and solutions for a variety of industries.

Now, Verticals onDemand, a pharmaceutical industry provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) CRM solutions, is bringing the iPhone to life for life sciences companies with the new VMobile iPhone Edition. This comes just weeks after Verticals onDemand’s launch of the VMobile Tablet Edition.

The Verticals onDemand VMobile iPhone Edition is providing that pharmaceutical and biotechnology sales representatives with real-time access to their VBioPharma SaaS CRM system. Such access will help these representatives to drive sales performance and ultimate efficiency in their processes.

All VMobile iPhone Edition users access the same version of the underlying multitenant software code on the back-end. This capability enables easy upgrades and consistently high quality. All of the VMobile applications are designed to enable life sciences companies to deploy mobile applications that do not require additional maintenance cost or effort to support and enhance.

The new VMobile iPhone Edition operates in a connected mode at all times. As such, pharmaceutical representatives can log sales calls and record physician reactions in real-time from anywhere there is cell phone coverage. The iPhone also provides strong integration with Google (News - Alert) Maps for instant driving directions.

“Users can execute calls with one finger, making this the easiest-to-use application on the easiest-to-use platform ever launched in this market,” said Peter Gassner, president and chief executive officer of Verticals onDemand, in a Monday statement.

A provider of SaaS CRM applications to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, Verticals onDemand was founded by software industry veterans. The company combines deep industry domain expertise, CRM deployment experience and SaaS operations savvy with Force.com from salesforce.com.
